Since its founding in 1967, Wall Companies have grown into a diversified collection of enterprises. Through this diversification and growth, Wall Companies are able to create effective solutions and implement innovative ideas for projects of all sizes and scopes. 

Fred Wall

Founder

Fred founded the Wall Companies in 1967. He has developed everything from mobile home parks to Class A office buildings to very large multifamily housing communities.
In 1974 Fred bought his first bank which has grown into Highland Bank with 5 locations around the Twin Cities.

John K. Wall

President

John joined Wall Companies in 1996. He has developed office, retail and especially multifamily housing communities.

John enjoys life to the fullest. When not at Wall Companies, he can be found checking out new living and working concepts, sailing, skiing, playing hockey or spending time with his family at the cabin.

Elizabeth Wall Lee

Vice President - Acquisitions

Liz joined Wall Companies full time in 2018, after dabbling in the family business part-time for many years. She has sold and purchased several properties and focuses largely on value-add deals.
 
Outside the office, Liz enjoys being with her family and friends, traveling, skiing and long distance bike rides. No matter the weather, she rarely misses the weekly runs around the Lakes with girlfriends.

Jeff Ellerd

Developer

Jeff joined Wall Companies in 2017, after 20 years in development related fields as a developer, consultant and engineer. Jeff is a versatile player at Wall Companies, focusing on development, but always eager to help where needed. 

Outside the office, Jeff enjoys weekends refereeing at swim meets, reading, and spending time with his family.

Patrick Keefe

Consulting CFO

Pat joined Wall Companies in 2018, on a contract basis. With 37 years experience in finance and affordable housing, Pat is an asset in arranging and evaluating financing options, assessing value and risk, maximizing portfolio returns, and helping make strategic decisions.

Pat enjoys people and can be found socializing and connecting with people whether in or out of the office. He loves spending time with his family.

Christine Scherer

Accounting Controller

Christine joined Wall Companies in June 2020. She has 20+ years' experience in Multifamily Housing Management as a Controller for Section 8, Section 42 and Market Rate Housing. She also has accounting experience in Commercial, Retail and Office Management. She has 5 years' experience in Residential and Apartment Construction job costing and reporting.

In Christine's free time, she enjoys traveling, camping, fishing and playing with her dog.

Julie Pierce

Executive Administrative Assistant

Julie joined the Wall Companies in 2019, with 30 years of administrative experience. Julie has her hands full managing everything from Fred, to spontaneous meetings, to record keeping and planning. She is much appreciated in this busy office. 


Outside the office, Julie enjoys time with her husband, their three dogs and any opportunity to spend time with their kids and grandkids.

Maichoua Vang

Accounting Associate

Maichoua joined Wall Companies in September 2021, with 3 years of experience. She is responsible for the daily bookkeeping and accounting activities between the entities and partners.


Outside of the office, Maichoua enjoys playing volleyball, socializing, and watching movies. She also enjoys family game nights as well as alone time with a cup of coffee and an adventurous book.
